The Person

I am a grassroots entertainer with a background in both music and theater performance. My song style can be described as soulful vocals rooted in country, blues and rock & roll - all of which I accompany with my acoustic guitar. My teaching style stems from method acting with emphasis on Stanislavsky, Meisner, Spolin, Adler and Hagen. I am available for hire to perform at private and corporate events, and to teach acting, voice and guitar. Finally, I can be contracted as a consultant to those in need of musical and theatrical direction within their place of business.

I am the former Theater Director at Deborah's Stage Door Center for the Performing Arts  where I taught acting, voice and guitar for five years. From 2016 to 2021, I directed twenty plays and musicals including: Noises Off, Addams Family, A Christmas StoryThe Heathers, Footloose, Elf, Little Shop of Horrors, Rent and Fame. Currently, I perform as a solo acoustic artist every Saturday evening at Peterlin's Restaurant from 5:00-8:00. For more information, please contact me at benny@bennyedwardsmusic.com.

The Producer

I have written, arranged, engineered, and produced both live shows and studio recordings in multiple cities throughout the country. In 2004, wrote and produced my debut album, The Way Home in Raleigh, North Carolina. Since then, I have continued to take on projects that challenge me professionally.

My BE-Yourself BE-Shirts highlight the many different voices, instruments and styles that span all genres of music so all musicians can showcase their individuality with pride!
